How to Work in the UK/Register with GOsC?

Step 1
In order to work in the UK you need to be registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC)
If you studied abroad, please go to step 3

Step 2
If you studied in the UK, you will be asked to provide those documents:
• a completed registration application form
• a health reference
• a character reference
• an “enhanced check for regulated activity”
• an entry fee (320-570 GBP)
You are registered!

Step 3
If you studied abroad, you will first need to go through the assessment of your qualification. You will need to provide information about your training, qualifications and experience. The fee is 690GBP.

Step 4
Once step 2 validated you will be sent a “Further Evidence of Practice” to complete. It focuses on your practice and experience as a practitioner. The fee is 690GBP

Step 5
Once Step 3 completed, your clinical skills will be observed through the “Assessment of Clinical Performance (ACP)”. It is a practical examination that takes place in the UK. The fee for is £910 and if you pass the ACP you may apply for the normal registration in Step 2.
