How to work In Canada?

Step 1
In order to work in Canada, you need to have a work visa and be registered with one of the main osteopathic associations.
Manual Osteopathy is not regulated in Canada, but you cannot call yourself a Medical Osteopath as this title is reserved for physicians who perform surgery, prescribe medication, deliver babies…. This applies to Canada but also the US
.
Step 2
There are numerous types of visa in order to work in Canada but the easiest one for newly graduates/ young osteopaths would be to apply for the PVT visa. This visa can be obtained for people between 18 and 35 years old with a passport from a country that is registered with this program. This visa is valid for 2 years but applicants are selected at random.
.

There are other more permanent visas available to work in Canada such as the “Facilitated LMIA”, the “CETA Work Permit” or the “Global Stream Talent”.
All those visas may be consulted on https://www.canada.ca/
